Redefining Freedom & Democracy: A Civic Season Conversation
Thurs., June 17 * 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT on Clubhouse
This week in History Club, we’ll recognize Juneteenth with a conversation about redefining freedom and democracy for the 21st century.
How can the histories of Juneteenth, July 4th (+other histories) help us reimagine what freedom looks like today? What do the daily practices of spreading freedom and democracy look like? What does freedom mean to you—historically and now?
Join us on Clubhouse Thursday night at 10 ET. We’ll do opening comments, followed by group conversation. (Add to calendar.)
The conversation is part of the inaugural Civic Season, and will feature the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and “Made by Us” project team.
See you on Clubhouse, Thursday, June 17 at 10 PM ET.
P.S. - Learn more about the Civic Season on the “Made by Us” website.
